Now this is black anodize, not hard black. It will scrach on the bottem.

Hard black would cost almost 20 bucks.

Black will scratch.

Hard black will scratch too but it takes alot of bashing to do it.

machining the chassis.

They come in as blanks, left, and the holes and cutouts go on the bottem first.

Is there anyway to get a spacer for under your motor mount, or leave the area under it raised? I picked up a leopard 5896 and it hangs about two millimetres below the mount.

+1 to that, I noticed the same thing on the motor I have currently got, I was going to knock one up,(spacer) but if ol'fart can supply or have it built into the new chassis that would be very helpful....

You know you can rotate the motor to adjust the gear mesh by turning it up or down. Have you tried both ways?? I'm not sure a spacer will work anyway. The front drivesaft is at a pretty sharp angle already, the spacer would make it worse. I could take off stock under the motor to clear. 2mm would not be a problem, the chassis is 4mm thick.
