Rampage MT engine trouble

I just got my first real RC truck a few months ago so I am new to this hobby and I wanted to ask the more experienced RC operators out there a question about the engine. Sometimes after I drive the truck for 15 or 20 min the engine will die and to start it up again I have to close the choke all the way then open it up to start it, then if I don’t give it gas to run it will shut off again, or it will just die again, and sometimes it hesitates to move when I give it gas. And now that it is winter in Buffalo it does the same thing even when the engine is cold. I have to close the choke pull it then open the choke to start it. Does anybody else have these problems; is there anything I should be doing different?

Yep needs to be tuned.

The base settings are:

1 1/2 out for the high needle

1 1/4 out for the low needle

The above are the base settings that should get it running. You can performance tune from there.

You may also want to make sure you don't have any air leaks. An air leak will cause tuning headaches.

Make sure carb bolts are tight.

Make sure the head bolts are tight.
