cracked jetpro?

was runnin the mt yesterday.heard a vibrating noise checked it out its my jetpro its cracked at the flange.so called dino at jetpro he said to keep it rigid but i'm thinkin about cutting it at the straight part at that expanded collar and using silicone hose to piece together.it should lesson the vibration on the pipe.any body try this or know if its worth doing?i'm gonna weld the pipe my self but i figure i'd try to prevent this from happeneing again.also open to any suggestions.thanx guys. I would go with the silicone coupling. It's the heavy pipes hanging of the cylinder that can give engine trouble. Sure it is also supported by the chassis, but on a hard landing when everything flexes a bit, the pipe gets jammed into the engine.

Chue i spoke with dino at jetpro .he told me its a five minute weld job but shipping cost 3000 miles away both ways and down time at least 8 working days.it would probably make more sence to get it fixed locally.so Im just going to weld it.

After talkin with dino i gonna braze weld it with steel rod.because i don't have a tig welder .the tolerance is real close where the bolts go into the head so the weld can't be to thick.

That's all you have to do, dude. Just cut it and use some high temp hose to reconnect it. Makes exhaust gasket swapping a lot easier, and helps prevent pipe and cylinder damage.

Of course Ildy.... you are a pro welder and sheet metal specialist so I guess in your case it makes sense For me... I'm too noob so I have to rely on warranty LOL!
