Aluminum MT plate kit

My aluminum MT plate did not come with the brake set screw plate. I feel that with this aluminum piece instead of my stock plastic piece, I will brake better due to the stiffness of the aluminum. What do you guys think? I believe there is also confusion here on the forum too regarding the brake mt aluminum plate for the MT working on a Xb. I know it works cause my bro in law uses it and his Xb brakes like its a Xbe. Other peeps said it won't fit?
