I don't think I would run traxxas connectors on a xbe. I would suggest the castle 6.5mm bullets or at a minimum ec5's (5.5mm bullets).

Wire gauge (and connectors) are rated for amps. You will be pulling ALOT less amps on 12s compared to 6s so I would just stick to the CC 6.5 bullets or EC5's.
