I bet it has the square hubs like the sct. Doubt they redesigned a new wheel to look like the sct and used the same tire..its obviously a x series so I bet it still uses the square.
I would agree. Even if Redcat is offered a choice, its easier to have like parts for inventory.

I haven't seen the buggy yet so have no idea but perhaps Redcat will use the MT style hubs/wheel hex?

I was browsing around the website this morning and a search for Chimera brought up a Rampage MT plastic gear plate, and lower suspension arms.

The factory already makes a brushless buggy that has a combination of XBE drivetrain and DuneRunner suspension so ya never know.

I found another picture online from a supplier in China and the one they are offering has MT style front lower arms...not sure if it's the same as what we'll be getting though

Most recent picture from Redcat Racing shows X-Series front lower arms. I was kinda hoping for MT/DR suspension but no luck.

It's is a mix of XT and MT parts, plus new stuff.
Thanks for the pictures.

One of the guys I work with has one on the way and it will be here next week, can you tell if it has the X series bearing holders, I'd like to get the 7075rc stuff coming right away if it's needed.

I'm kind of iffy now that I see it! The rear shocks are mounted on the cage! Im not a fan of that! but the over all look is good! Too bad I just bought the Apache C1 from towerhobbies.com

Is anyone working on a solution to the rear shock mounts? A brace? A tower? I can see thE shocks breaking of the cage with a stiff set up.
I have rear brace and just got done with the front shock tower. I'm working on a solution for the lower rear shock mounts. IMG_0368.jpg
