I rebuilt my Slash 4x4, RC8e, and 750Maxx so now Im on the Ramprage and Blah-ha 5b. I hate taking apart a Blah-ha everything is connected to the motor. I like taking apart the Ramprage its so easy. Pic #3 is to show that the outdrives on the center diff are very loose. We probably should check these often. Pic 4 shows what was cought in one of my front wheel hexes! I bought the Blah-ha used so Im not surprised the head gasket blew out and the arrow on the piston was pointed to the intake and the important screws were red loctited! The Blah-ha has a few bugs like that so its a good thing Im going over it and making improvements as I go.

The bumpers are a before and after the dremel took off the tube looking parts so now they look more like skids. The carb pic is me wondering if I should or even could put the 813 vstack on the shreadstack. And flywheel has my Hamster Huey tag on it. The best part of this is I cant afford a new 1/5 right now but this will be like a new 1/5 when Im done!

nice hamster, keep the pics comming. it's nice to see a rebuild thread. i'm in the same boat as far as a new 5th scale goes, i'll have to wait a while for a new one... so instead i updated the tt some and i'm building my mt into a desert truck. so for now i'll play with the rampages, save some $ and watch what comes along as far as 5th scales till i can get another. :)

The rebuild is complete. I have a few more things more to put on: a buggy body from Ron E and if I like the Dark Soul marine head then that but with a 27.2 kit, either a cage or roll hoop, and chassis braces. I didnt mesh the crankcase because if I put in the DS marine head it might not need mesh. I decided to use the 668 instead of the 813. I might do the 813 later. It was completly stripped cleaned, lubed, retightened screws with loctite. I sprayed all of the plastic w/wd40 to keep the dirt from sticking for a while. I had the upgrade kit but had not installed the parts yet. Specs before the rebuild: MT v1, 28.5, 8k spring, HPI filter, Hitec servos, side dom, pullstart cover, excavators/desperados, 5b hexes, 3000 batt, 3rd channel failsafe, fhss2, 5b shocks, go pro camera mount on roof.Heres the stuff that went into the rebuild: new gears (all 4), outerwears prefilter, stock shocks w/5mm shock shafts, 50r/60f wt shock oil, v2 shock springs, fuel line, blue choke handle, 5b wing, wing mount (allows use of mt bumpers/skids), buggy body, Zrc carb manifold, shreadstack, chrome wheels, yellow beadlocks, proline bowtie f+r, chrome fan cover shroud, v2 gearplate, v2 vented clutch bell, dogbone leashes, 4200 batt, carb gaskets.

Is that black thing on top of the roll cage a plug that allows you to remove the spark plug without removing the cage? If so, what did you use for it...great idea :)

The black thing is a go pro mount. Your spark plug idea is a good one though as long as it protects the plug in a roll over. Have you done the headbolt hole mod yet. Same idea as your spark plug but for head bolts.

If you do chrome it will chip if drilling a hole from the inside. The chrome ones should be done from the outside with a dremel cutoff wheel (but not the metal mini saw looking cutoff wheel). Im putting the wing mod in hopups now. Basically you use a truck body mount on the rear behind the buggy body mount. That way you can mount the MT bumper/skids where the buggy wing normally goes. Also the wing hieghth is adjustable.

I didnt have a lot of $ for the rebuild so the only thing I bought new was the tires. Everything else I had on hand as spares or on the Blah-ha.
