I removed the front body mount , then took it to the hardware store.

There I found some rubber gromets ,that fit on the posts really nice.

Then I used my dremel on the truck bodyholes,to make the holes larger, with a cone grinding stone. After I made the

holes the same size as the grinding stone.I used an exacto knife ,to remove

the melted plastic flash. After that,I put in the rubber gromets in the holes.

After the body is on the truck , I push on the rubber gromets, to put

in the clips. The body fits nice and tight now........

Just what , I wanted !!!!!!!!

Another one bites the dust !!!!!!!!!!!

And another one gone, and another one gone .................

Rampage Gear Cover Detail

After I got the body to fit on the the mouting posts,I noticed the body was hitting the gear cover.

I pushed the body down and pulled out the side, over the gear cover. To make sure it was over the highest part of the cover.

Then by using a pencil compass backwards ,that I taped together with maskingtape,to hold the compass solid. With the pencil on the center of the gear cover, I scribed a light scratch , on the Rampage truck

body . Took the body off ,then used an exacto knife , with the body supported on my knee , with a small block of wood for support.

After I cut the scratch a little deeper,I used a pair of scissors to

start the cut,and ripped the small half round piece out..........

Put the body back on , for a test fit . Then removed the body from the

truck .Found an old spray paint can,and using masking tape, taped sandpaper

around the can. While holding the truck body on my knee, used the sandingcan

in a twisting motion ,while holding the body near the cut, to sand out the part of the body that was touching the

gear cover. After many test fits ,got it to fit with about 1/8th gap, around

the gear cover ............

PERFECT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just use a high speed dremel with a sanding drum. Maybe I should try some patience, but I doubt it.

The gromets that I used for the body posts are ( 5/16" hole = body post, 7/16" = hole to drill in body,

and a total outside diameter of 5/8" )

I also used ( 1/4 " = hole for antena/with top(will pass through no problem) , 3/8 " = hole to drill in windshild , 9/16" total outside diameter

I used ( NAPA ) window tint , to tint the windows.

Shine floresnt shop light through the body on one side ,tape paper on outside.

Then draw around the window, about where the black ends on the window, lable the patterns on the other side with a up arrow ,and R or L .Do the same with the front window to,just make sure you lable the back,of the piece you are working on.

Then using masking tape, tape the patterns(leave some tape off the tint,so you can pull it off the pattern) onto the window tint.Cut around the pattern and through the tape

to make your tints, the edjes will turn up , not down, when you are taping pattern to the

tint.

Use a spray bottel of soapy water, spray inside of windows.

Use two piecies of tape,to pull clear plastic from the tint, spray right away on the sticky

back,so it won't krinkle up

Put on windows, squegy out water and air bubbles, dry with a cloth.

The back side windows didn't turn out that great, but it works.

The front window , passenger window , and the driver window turned out nice.

Tomarrow,I will try a hairdryer,to help make it ever better ..............

I even made a back window, that I put the RAMPAGE sticker on .......

I just fudjed that ......

Can't see the electronics , as easy

NICE ,VERY VERY COOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the tape and pattern ,
