MT V3 clutch bell issues

HEEEELLLLP! My MT snapped the gear hub pin and sheared the end of the clutch bell that holds the drive gear off at the nut. Gear is ok and gear hub looks like it'll survive. But HTF did it do that? And where can I find new gear hub pins? Already ordered the new bell. But I'm having no luck at all finding the pins. And a new hub would be handy. Did I tighten the nut too much? Pin broke clean right in the middle. Truck is stock except for a cpi pipe. Thanks for any help anyone can give.
