Any tips on this? If I loosen the cover it doesn't scrape but I want it to be tight. Seems to be just one fin. Can I machine it down a bit?

Could your cover be bent?

Check to see that the flywheel doesn't have a wobble to it. An out of speck flywheel will kill the crank bearings.

Doesn't appear to be bent. This is my flywheel off the stock motor. I just put it on the new prostock 5.5 HP OBR long block. Maybe it sits out further on it.

How bad is it hitting? I'd try and machine the cover before touching the flywheel. You don't want to throw the balance off.

If it's barely scraping you could try tightening the flywheel nut a bit more until it clears.
