battery question

Hey guys i purchased a new brushed rock crawler it should be here today.it runs on a 7.2 nmh i have a 2s 7.4 4000 mh lipo battery. can i use that lipo instead i believe i can but want to be sure.i don't want to fry any of the electronics...

More than likely, yes.

Esc that are set up for nimh sometimes cannot handle the amps a lipo can deliver. I don't expect it to be an issue in a crawler. If in doubt, check the manual. It would say no lipo or nimh only if its an issue.

you will not have a low voltage cut off though.

What model is it?

Yep, voltage is voltage, it doesn't matter how it is stored.

Like Deluge stated, if you can't program the low voltage cutoff, you will need an alarm. Running your lipos too low will damage them.

You just need to make sure the esc comes with a lvc. If not you can get one from Novak and adapt it to your esc. They work good, have one in my summit.
