Fired the buggy up this morning to run in the f-270 - put the easy tres on for the parking lot. The throttel servo started glitching- soo- started checking the usual suspects for intermittents- both on off switches, direct servo harness, kill switch, ect-- The heads up was that the kill switch never had to shut down the engine. no loss of signal-ect-ect, The steering servo sorta glitched also. Back to the bench- removed the throttel servo, disassembled, found the negative power lead broken on the board- broken cap lead also. pulled off the old solder- flowed it back together- started it up- problem repaired. Folks this XB has had the dogs run outta it- this is the first failure for this car- last weekend, the only thing holding the engine to the chassis was the plastic gear plate! This no doubt shook the daylights outta every thing.- This is a good servo- all the gears are steel and bronze- Cleaned it up- relubed the transmisson- cleaned the pot- re-lubed the pot with caig labs moving contact cleaner-lube- We are good to go!!! Someone show me how the he@# to spell throttel--- lol! and on a sunday!!
