About 10:1 and up and you are in the begin of a short ratio range (depend on what tire/wheel) and below 7:1 ratio that start to be a high speed ratio.

29/31/26/24 give you: 8.87:1

25/35/25/25 .......... 12.6:1 a little short....

You have a reference point for 29/31/26/24 combination, you know how your Buggy work with that combination, so.. take the calculator then find the different possible combination and calculate it, you can buy plastic gear for a test drive, they are cheap.

I appreciate your quick response! I wasn't good with the math...is there an online calculator that I can use to figure out these combos?

1+ on that. I had a set that was off center and it was disaster for $65 worth of gears and damaged most of the aluminum squares and my lay shaft. I use plastic and have NO issues. I run a OBR 27.2 race ported with lightened piston and still have the set I started out with.
Apparently Marty Feldman is their machinist.
