Here is the new body i have ordered for my DR.

It's a Hurrax Crypton.

Body Specs:

Length 720 mm

Width 300 mm

Height 235 mm

I may have to go back to my short chassis. But i'll wait & see.

I sure will.

I call it short & normal, mine is actually a HSP buggy which is shorter. But i bought a Redcat DR chassis & swapped everything over.

Finally got my body today. here are some pics.Looks like it would be a better fit if i went back to my short chassis. 2 inch shorter, but i like the look of the normal chassis for a buggy.

Looks good...want to see how u.paint it.
Here you go, finally got a chance to set up the new mounts & paint it.To be honest, i'm not overly happy with where it sits on the body. To much exposed rear end. It would look better if i went back to my shorter chassis. It's 2 inch shorter & the body would cover the exposed parts better. But i prefer the long chassis look for a buggy.I cut the old body just in front of where the side pods stop, painted them black & mounted them to help cover the exposed parts. The new body itself is a bit flimsy, it's the same thickness as 1/10 body. Not rigid at all, so i added 2 extra body mounts halfway along the chassis. If i roll it , it will deform & look crap i think. And it came with NO window mask. That was a painful job. body 002.jpg

I like it. Looking forward to some more pictures. What are you using for body posts?
I used old body posts, fitted them about 1/2 inch forward of the stock side mounts & added 2 more half way along the chassis for more rigidity. I just drilled holes in the chassis & used beedlock screws to hold them on. After I cut & drilled them to size.

It really needs a mount on the top, but that would look crap.

Looks very nice,good job.
Thanks Cordy,

I did expect better quality from a Euro brand such as Hurrax. Their cars are in the Losi price range & pretty popular amongst racers from what I have seen here in Aus. They look to be on the same level as MCD.
