k&N air filter oil??

I have a full can of K&N air filter oil in my tool box!! can i subsitute that for the regular air filter we use for our RCs??

If I remember correctly the paper filter oil does not work well on the foam elements.

Nope. Won't work. You need oil that's specifically for foam filters.
