When I got this thing I checked every bolt and screw...or so I thought!

We were racing around a field and I heard a pop and some grinding....

Opened her up and the drive gear nut loosened up. I never put locktite on it due to being a poly-lock nut. Of however many teeth it did have there is only 3 on the drive gear and about 8 on on the secondary gear!

I'll be ordering a gear drive this Friday I guess.

I don't think I'm that hard on it, but I break the damn thing every time I take it out. In 6 months everything should either upgraded or replaced...lol.

MT gear plate is the way to go for gears. no flex, no gear jumps. and oversized bearings. definitely THE first thing to switch out, never even ran the plastic one.

Mine works just as well and it comes with all the bearings so in the long run it is a better deal, weighs less too.

I Had all strip at once on glass smooth asphalt at 46mph ...found that the nylon on the nuts her hot and soft and work their way loose and all hell breaks loose. This is the third time to replace all the gears.

ripping down the road is when mine went as well. I wonder if putting a standard nut on with a locktite and star crush washer would be a better option...besides just doing away with it all together.
