how can i boost my trucks ground clearance

It's not easy to do on the XT/XB/XBE line because the front shock is too short. It basically stops the arms from lowering right about the same point where the arm makes contact with the droop control tab on the chassis. I'd look into larger diameter tires like the MT tire for FG. It's massive. There's a thread on it somewhere here.

Beware though:

Big engine + big tires = lots of broken drivetrain parts.

Cutting off the droops control tabs will let your suspension drop much lower. You will need to run rear shocks on the front though since the front shocks aren't long enough to allow the suspension to drop.
