Air filter

I just got the MT up and running today for the first time! It is a blast. I bought a hpi air filter but it rubs against the throttle linkage so I had to put the factory filter back on. The hpi is too big. Is there another air filter which fits? What about the IHP high flow air filter with the velocity stack from large scale rc?

Also how often do I need to oil the filter?

You can cross the linkages so it won't rub. Like this...

I usually clean my filters after every run.

I have the futaba mount on that side so I can't cross them. What do you clean it with?

I use a large diameter short lenght paper pod filter and stack that fits neatly behind the roll cage cross brace.

To avoid the air filter, I removed the throttle linkage bar and bent it to a nice shape.

The linkage is strong wire, so two pairs of strong pliers are necessary.

I run the DT-1 3 stage filter on mine, No clearance issues at all
I prefer it on the buggies because it fits under the bodies. Other filters require trimming a hole in the body.
