There is a youtube video on how to do this mod. Look at the plastic esc plate in the two pics. A little alteration and flip of the tray and move the brace from one side to the other.

I still made a simple aluminum brace from the spur mount to the front diff case

Old fart confirmed that a 5898 motor should fit with the stock positional of the front chassis brace so.... ill cross that bridge if I get to it.

If it does hit the brace, I'll dremel down the motor fins a a few mm of the chassis brace before I rip the whole front of the car apart and drill new holes into the chassis

You can actually just remove completely the esc plastic plate. Ya probably wont use it anyhow. I didnt alter the frame in that area, regardless. But believe me, the aluminum stock as a brace to the front diff, made a huge huge difference in the rigidity of the entire front end. I used the same mount holes and just needed longer bolts due to the thickness of the aluminum

Yeah it doesn't fit my max5 anyway.

If I did need to move the brace over to the other side, that servo will be in the way and I'm not how the hell I would deal with that.

Why did you move your front brace?? Was it in the way?

Yeah. This motor is huge. 57mm diameter. I did have to shim the servo mount to move it a little away in order to get the stock brace to go on that side. It actually doesn't need to be there now on this car due to the top brace.

I am confused,

Old fart said I DO NOT need to move the front brace from the stock position, but you are saying I will have too?

oh, well I've got the same diameter motor coming, so perhaps ol fart is wrong. My motor is the leopard 5898 which is 57.8mm wide

Yep...if its 57.8mm, the brace will be in the way. No fins to be able to trim off the Leopard cans. I'm curious to see
