Thinking of upgrading transmitter and receiver my 2 choices are Spektrum or Futaba 4 channel, do servos need to match or can you mix? I have a killer bee switch installed and heard some people say killer bee not compatible with Spektrum any thoughts?
Thanks
s
I tried a Flysky 4 channel it4s. It was glitchy, the rx received interference from either the coil or the spark plug. I had 3 run aways that day, It would function fine not running then 5 minutes into running it I was reaching for the killswitch toggle. Full throttle.. I can get at least a football field range from the Futaba and it has yet to glitchThanks G-Man kinda leaning toward the Futaba doesn't seem to as finicky as the Spektrum
If I want to use this radio with other trucks do I need to buy a Futaba receiver for each one?
Yes each rc will need a futaba receiver that is compatible with the specific radio. Not all Futaba receivers work with every radio. If I want to use this radio with other trucks do I need to buy a Futaba receiver for each one?
I bought the Futaba 4PLS, this transmitter is amazing, but the instructions are a little overwhelming just trying to figure out the basics does anyone else have this transmitter?
Hey Thanks Man!! Did the wrap one day waiting on RC parts. I have the Superbee killswitch plugged into channel 3 on the RX. Then I have the push button on the grip near my thumb to use for that channel. You can go through the menu and turn off all the other switch functions if you won't use them. It has been the best upgrade I have. Good luck. Any other questions feel free to ask. That is Cool, yes you are correct it is very overwhelming I just want to get the basic set-up then add as I go along, I have the killer bee cut off should I add to a open channel & what is the switch on the handle grip do, thinking I would use that if I can figure it out.
Whats up with it?having some confusion how do set the super bee kill switch-thanks
Woohoo! So glad you got it man. Now to go have some fun huh! Too bad it has been raining here for 3 days now or I'd be out also. Thanks G-Man!! worked like a charm.
IMO You did it the correct way. The way you did it you can set the trims to zero and just adjust the end points for both of your servos and be done. I like to leave a little slack between my collars and the arms the push. Especially the brake arm. I leave it to where th washer and spring are about .5-1mm away from the arm. That ensures the brakes are not dragging, yet allows the servo and linkage to do their job. To answer your question yes the trim could have been used, but then you are relying on your servo for the engine to run. That engine is made to run just sitting there, the servo just tells it when to go BraaaappWhen I first stated it up it was revving very high and had very little brakes I adjusted the throttle trim way back to get it to idle then I had to adjust the collars on the linkage for the correct setting I then zeroed out the throttle trim and after a few more collar adjustments it was back to normal, what I am wondering if I could have done those adjustments through the radio settings instead of adjusting the linkage collars-thanks again.
