Throttle servo died while full throttle

I have a servo coming and didn't notice until I already ordered it but it's a 7.4v and the receiver pack for my xb is I think 6v will it work or did I just way my money.

Waste my money and it's a steering servo I should have mentioned.

Firat you need to see if the receiver can handle a lipo, if it can just get a 2 cell lipo and you will be good to go
