Talked to quinn today, he said it will still be a couple months yet on the motor mounts but the will be redesigned for better looks and function with an esc mounting location and possibly available in different colors, ill be waiting impatiently for my 7075 mount that i already ordered and paid for and for these updated kershaw desings ones as well ,i guess i still got a couple months till the weather breaks up here in north eastern PA anyway hopfully it will work out perfect i know it will be worth the wait

Yay! I'm glad you finally got through. It seems that the possibilities are mounting!

$80 is for the mount and bearings. Gears and cams are sold separately. Stock gears will not work. If you can live with the stock gear ratios, do it.
The electric chassis is longer. it is the only one I sell for electric. there is no "long" or "short" one. You can see it in the pix for the motor mount.
You don't need the chassis to run a 5692, stock will work. you only need it for the 2028.

Hi mate, why can't you ship to Australia????????

I have a few hundred dollars here to spend :(

I've tried RCMaxx but they have nothing in stock, they said they could order, I said OK, but that was over a month ago and I've heard nothing

I'm currently using a HW Max6 and Leo 4092 930kv on 8S with stock wheels and and stock 10/41 gearing. Heat is borderline for my liking at 85c. I have the ramtech 24mm hubs and baja 5b front wheels with Louise Bulldoze tyres ready to bolt on. I don't think the Leo will cope so I'm thinking of a TP4060, maybe 990kv or go for the 1100kv. Same size can as the Leo 4092, but 6200w (2000w more) and 137amps for the 1100kv which the Max6 can handle, and I should be able to gear it up. I'll be getting the 8mm shaft on the TP, along with Losi DBXLe 11,12, and 13T pinions.

Does anyone know if 13T pinion will fit the stock mount?

Ok I went ahead and bought a "build your own" TP4060, 990kv, 8mm shaft from TP USA. I also got the Losi 11 and 12T 8mm bore pinions. This the cheaper and far better option in my opinion. No need for 7075rc motor mount and a big heavy Leo 56 or 58 can motor, the TP has 6200watt of power compared to a Leo 5898 at only 5500watt anyway (y) Plus 121amp draw on 8S which the HW Max6 won't break a sweat with, even running the Baja 5B fronts all round....it's a winner for sure.

I'll post back my findings once I get the motor

Here's a pic in it's current state. I certainly recommend the Redcat alloy shock towers, much beefier than the stock rubbish

Hi thanks for the reply, much appreciated :) I want the cam for a leopard 5698/92, 910kv, and I guess the 44T spur.
I don't know what pinion size, but I guess whatever is recommended, and say 1 tooth down plus 1 tooth up?? I'll be running baja 5B fronts all round, maybe rears on the rear depending on grip.

I also wanted the servo mount (electric)

How can we go about this? letting RCMAX know, payment etc etc?

Make that 44T spur and 12-16T pinions, so 5 all up would be great :)

Thanks Ol' fart you're a legend :)

Mounted the servo mount and motor mount. I made a small addition to keep the XLX motor wires out of the way of the spur gear. I had a couple of round alloy spacers in my box of tricks, they had a 4mm hole down the centre so I drilled it out to 5mm, and mounted a piece of alloy flat bar to it....perfect.

Just waiting on the new Leopard 5692 1000kv, hopefully it will be here before the weekend

I've also gotten rid of the stock receiver box and have a Traxxas one on the way so I can fit my 6ch rx. Bloody Castle and their multitude of unnecessary wires on their ESC's

Hi mate. What size are the bullet connectors on the Leo 5892, 6mm or 6.5mm??
Looks great! Ol'fart and that guys 7075rc products are the best. I have never seen anyone else build such high quality parts for this hobby. I made a plate for the Traxxas rc box that fits above the servo.

Yeah I'm very happy with the 7075rc mounts also.
I've mounted my receiver box over where it was, just drilled/countersunk a couple of 3mm holes in the chassis.

So you're running the lipos down one side and flipped the motor mount so you can use (what looks like) a Castle 2028?

Oh and my motor got stuck in customs in the US for 12 days which peed me right off. It was finally released 2 days ago and is now in Australia. Should only be a couple of days now

You can still do the 5892 with no problem. The only issue would be is pinion gear size. You can run the stock 41 spur with a 13T pinion or the 7075rc 48 spur with a 10T or 11T pinion. So ok lets do some calculation...... Stock setup is 10T or 11T pinion with 41 spur. I have seen some videos on YouTube of XBE doing 80 to 85 mph with the stock 41 spur and a 15T or 16T pinion. So to get about the same speed with about the same equivalent gear ratio. You can run 7075rc 48 spur with a 10T pinion. Now compare it to stock gears is like a 41 spur and a 17T pinion. If you go with 7075rc 44 spur, you can run a 14T pinion. Now compare it to stock gears is like a 41 spur and a 17T pinion. I just took off some millimeters on my chassis just to be able to run a taller pinion with the stock 41 spur. I'm running a 22 pinion and it's to much. The leopard 1000kv motor can handle it but I need a very large straightaway just to top it out. Which I haven't found one yet unless I go to a drag strip.....lol. But If you just want to have crazy torque with some good speed with no modification done to the chassis, I would say go with the leopard 5892 with 7075rc 48 spur and 7075rc 10T or 11T pinion or 7075rc 44 spur and 7075rc 12T or 13T pinion or stock 41 spur and a 13T pinion. You will enjoy it...... Oh yeah by the way, If I do get a 7075rc chassis made, I will give you my old chassis for sure.

Hey mate, the smallest pinion you can run with the 5892 is 16T with the stock 41T spur, not 13T. Even then you still have to remove the front chassis brace, or move it to the other side of the driveshaft which is what I did as you need the chassis brace

Well I managed to get a 15T pinion to fit, the motor is resting on the chassis though which I don't particularly like, but what do you do. Anyway I took it for a hard 5min run up at the local park doing full throttle runs and hard braking, checking the temps every minute, and it only got to 65c with outside temp 25c, I also had the Castle xlx set to 80% power output, but it screams that's for sure, easily over 80km/h

I had to move the front chassis brace to the other side of the driveshaft also, no big deal since I'm not using the stock ESC/servo mount it left me with a spare hole on the top plate.

Very happy now that I finally got it up and running how I wanted, even at 80% power it will wheelie from half throttle if I give it to it. I was also a bit concerned that the tyres might ballon being Baja 5b fronts which you can't get zero growth foams for, but they were fine, the fronts had a very small amount of ballooning but nothing to worry about

Thanks once again Ol' fart (y):)

Ol' fart came through for this Canuck. Awesome motor mount. Had to move the centre diff 4mm back to fit in the massive Leopard 58110 motor. Juuuuust fits now. This thing honks. Test run showed 103kms/hr. Unfortunately blew out the rear tire foam on the third pass...lol...Gotta get some more of those, just in case. Motor and xlx both run at a decent temp. Was running 16t with stock 41t. just ordered an 18T to see what this puppy will do.
