you will have to cut the pipe add a silicone coupler to extend it...thats what I'm doing

Yep thats what i did, I also welded up a mounting plate to the pipe to get it to bolt to the rear shock tower. only problem so far is i didn't space it properly and melted the back corner of the body.

I have this pipe sent to me by a member to look at fitting. I could make an adapter for the head to header and the bottom mount and a deflector, but WHY? You give $150 bones for the pipe then buy the adapter kit and still got a heavy chromed steel crap hanging off the back.

The dom is good for low end , I know why it is but we need to start from scratch with the Rampage. I will work on ths tuning style of pipe first after the roll cage hoop and the chassis flex brace, please be patient on the dom style pipe. I have got header conversion fixture for the HPI SS and the RD Logcs if you need something to get you by while I get my pipe ready.

I snaggged a slightly used dom for $85 add the silicone tubing... I got me a nice pipe for under $100

I don't like the performance of the baja pipe on the baja...don't think i would like it on the rampage:)

I hope there are a couple of rear pipes made just for the MT...Little extra weight in the back helps keep the nose up while jumping;)

Yes I had 3/4 heater hose. but the pipe is really 1" OD so you need to get as big as you can, so the .875 ID, not sure if you would want the thin or thickwall, I would choose thinkwall, but will be harder to get over the pipe.

really we need to find 1" ID tubing, but i haven't had any luck finding any locally

thanks for the info, I might try that ...other place has the 1" but I have to buy 25ft its only $5.50 a foot... $6 a foot shipped ....if i knew other people needed some I could see getting a roll ...I only need 6-8 inches of the silicone

Hey I have a new rear dom to look at. I think you all might be going the hard way on the mod. To fit try turning the pipe upside down then cut in half at the start of the deflector cone seem and rotate 180 degrees.

Thats easier then chopping the header pipe and adding hose? That's the second time you've stated that we are 'idiots' for attempting to put a DDM Baja Dom on the redcat, Well I for one feel that this pipe will FULLY outperform the HPI tuned pipe, and is Much easier to mod, a simple hacksaw is all that is needed. no heat, no bending, no sending my parts to someone else. Can it be fit in there easier, probably, but this works and is quick and easy.

I beg your pardon I never called anyone an "idiot" I fabricate airplane parts for a living I am merely shedding a different way of looking at a way of doing it with over 15 years of aviation and race car background. You are free to get it on there however you see fit, but some may want to have more than one option. I am sorry you took it the wrong way. I realy don't understand why you think I praise the HPI pipe twice now either. I just fitted the header for those that might be able to obtain one cheap or have a pull off. Just as you all are trying that with DOM, but some might have a problem cutting and welding on a new DOM they just bought for $150 I have seen used HPI pipes for 30 - 50 dollars. I don't just praise there performance but it is a good value while us manufactures get our pipes in to production for this truck.
