New to Redcat and the XB Before running What do i need?

You need to purchase an exhaust. The stock pipe will fail quickly, probably during break in. A pipe from Dave's Discount Motors or JetPro will due. I like the JetPro rear pipe. I think it gives the best performance gain. The steering servo is not good either, it will not last long. HiTec...

Aluminum Differential Case for Rampage XT

Just wanted to correct my earlier post, the name he uses on this site is Ol' fart. In my opinion his after market parts/upgrades are the best available for the X series but there are other places/individuals that sell after market parts/upgrades for those vehicles, to include Red Cat Racing.

Aluminum Differential Case for Rampage XT

The MT and X series of vehicles are different. 7075 RC sales an aluminum differential case for the Red Cat X series of vehicles and that is the only place I know of that does. The owner of 7075 RC is active on the site and I think he goes by the name "Old Fart". He makes outstanding/the best...

    Pull start not engaging

There is a spring loaded device on the center of the pull start that engages the flywheel. I think it is called a "sprawl." They come in plastic and/or aluminum. It has a notch on it that engages the flywheel. If you remove the pull start from the engine and pull the string you should see...

Couple problems with new Rampage MT

Put a collar on the cups to increase their durability. You can go to your local hardware and get copper plumber's pipe or you can purchase carbon or aluminum tubing and cut your own collars. 7075RC sells his diff and drive cups with a collar installed. There are some sites on the internet...

    Aluminum bearing holder

7075rc sells an aluminum one. I think it is called a lay shaft. I am not sure about the name. Check his site.

    Ramtech or 7075rc wheel adapters???

I truly believe the 7075rc parts are the best available for the Rampage X series vehicle and have all the parts he sells on two of my vehicles. I recommend if you are looking for a part that he sells, get it from him. If they are not available, try emailing him on his web site and/or send him...

Are HY engine parts compatible to CY?

Basically an engine without the clutch assembly, fly wheel, fan/pull start cover, or engine cover. You can go to O'Neil Brothers Racing web site for an example.

Are HY engine parts compatible to CY?

It's not the motor but the pull start cover that you need. The pull start cover has mounting points on the bottom that match the chassis. You can switch the pull start cover of a CY, HY, or Zenoah engines. When replacing the engine you can save money if you purchase a long block and use your...

    Ramtech or 7075rc wheel adapters???

I have both. The ram Tech will give your vehicle a slightly larger/wider wheel spread which may make it a little more stable when making a high speed turn. The ram Tech quality is ok, they slide over the axle and are secured with a grub screw. The 7075rc adapters screw onto the axle and then...

On road wheels?? Where to purchase from

7075rc and DGI sell adapters. Adapters is a good investment and it will definitely open you options for wheels. I am not sure of the size but get the ones for HPI baja that the most common 1/5 scale size. The Losi and many other vehicles have the same size.

    A newbie at Nitro trucks!

The string in the pull start may be jammed. There is also a one way bearing in the pull start. Try removing the pull start. It is simple, there are probably three small screws securing it to the rear of the engine. Be careful because there is probably a small spring in the center that fits...

    A newbie at Nitro trucks!

To prime the engine, cover the hole on the exhaust pipe and turn the engine. Use the pull string, rotor starter, or starting box to slowly turn the engine over. Do not heat the glow plug when doing this. When you turn the engine over you should see fuel in the fuel line coming from the fuel...

On road wheels?? Where to purchase from

Dave's Discount Motors, Large Scale RC, EBay, A Main Hobbies all should have road wheels. Dave's has a vast collection of all types of 1/5 scale parts and he ships quickly. If you purchase from Dave's use discount code RRF5 and I think it will give you 5% off.

I am also interested in lower arms. Have you had a chance to check and see if you still had any? I inquired earlier and you said you may have some in your shop. I am also requesting you make a center brace.

    Swapping A B Gears?

Yes it works. Make sure your engine has enough power. I did it with the old stock 30cc engine and it did not have enough power to handle it.

    Throttle servo glitches

Which would you say is your best/strongest steering servo the Spektrum S9020 or your Hitec D845? If it is the Spektrum S9020 is it worth the price difference or is the Hitec D845 the best by?
