Thank you for replying. I think I understand what your saying. Pictures if you had them would confirm what I'm thinking in my mind. And I'm glad the battery will fit with no problems. Thanks again.
Oh and I have ran 2 tanks of gas through it and still have battery voltage to spare. I think I will make a rule of thumb 2 tanks max then recharge it.

Thanks so much. That's what I had pictured in my mind. Thank you for going through all the trouble of getting pictures. Do you have a crimp tool to make all those ends or did you just use pliers?

No problem man! No I didn't crimp any of the connections-they suck. I soldered and used shrink tubing. Now the servo wire I pulled the pin and positive wire out of the connector, then soldered a female end on the new wire from the lipo , then the male and female just slide into each other the shrink tubing made it a semi-permanent connection. Reason being if I have an issue with the servo for some reason I can put it back in the connector and send it in for warranty just like it came to me.Just wait till you try it with straight 7.4v it is awesome

Also don't forget to unplug your lipo from the bec when not in use, otherwise it will stay powered up. I'm sure you unplug every time, but once I was beat after running and almost forgot to unplug. That would not be good for the lipo if it went under the minimum voltage. Have fun buddy!!

Would two of those small lipos fit in the standard Mt battery box?
Sorry for the late reply!! I got no indication that You commented. Um yes I think two of those lrp lipos would fit in there

Sounds like a great upgrade!
I run 3 tanks of gas and still have enough voltage for another. I made it a rule to charge every 3 tanks if it needs it of not. Been awesome. Probably one of the best upgrades I've made. Futaba radio system, 7.4v 2s lipo hump pack and a Spektrum s9020 steering servo. No more electronic problems. No bec needed as the Futaba rx is rated for lipo as well as both of My servos, steering and brake

G-Man I've got the same set-up as you I think?
My servo's don't sound to happy.

Futaba 4PLS
Specktrum S9020
Hitec 7954SH
Futaba R304SB RX
2s Lipo 7.4v
I will run telemetry rpm and temp when They arrive.

Maybe I've got the RX mode wrong? what do you have yours set as?
Both servos making a crackling sound, which leads me to believe it's the RX settings

I have a similar setup. The hi-tech will hum...thats normal. My s9020 however is quiet for the most part...or at least I can't hear it over the hitech, lol.

Please explain more. What steering servo? I am also using the Futaba 4pls radio system. I had to do absolutely nothing to use a 2s lipo rx battery. Is that Hitec throttle servo lipo capable? If not it is going to fry and that's why it's buzzing. I use a Spektrum S9020 steering servo and I just installed a Savox 1210mg throttle servo. Both are waterproof and lipo capable
