Motor cam bolts to the front of the motor. This cam fits into the mount and a set screw locks the motor to the mount. Its offset so if you rotate the motor body, it will move the motor away or towards the pinion gear, to allow for different size spur gears. Be VERY careful that the gears are not meshed too tightly or too loose.
The space is the area where the original motor is installed now.

Fyi.....once you beef up the power on that thing, other parts will need replacing. It is some serious power. I actually bent the rear drive shaft...blew many tires off wheels, suspension parts....lol.... The data download shows it was pushing nearly 6hp at times, 200+ amps

good god that is nuts.

What else would you recommend replacing? What would be a motor that is a good amount of 8s power, but not totally rediculous part breaking power?

Anything 8s is a killer...lol.
Wheel hubs, bearings, diff gear oil,....A bit of youtube research taught me a lot. Short memory though...lol...I built the buggy in the spring. Havent run it in a couple months due to work, though.

alright. Weel hubs and bearing don't sound too bad...

Also I tried to search for a rear diff for the xb e and could not find anything. What happens and you blow the rear diff and you cant find a replacement part for it?

There are lots of parts online for this buggy. Not to worry.
And many more upgraded parts. Can turn into a never ending project if you want it to be that. Keep swapping out stock parts
for better

No clue. For the cost incurred, there wouldn't be any kick ass difference if you remained 6s.....8s unleashes the beast!!!!!

Ok so im better off doing the 7075mount and getting an 8s motor.

and just to confirm, I can use the stock spur gear with a new 8s motor and pinion gear?

alright Ive got a brand new xbe coming from amazon.

i heard that out of the box that this car needs diff fluid? That true?

Also I am ordering the 7075rc mount and CAM. I plan on running a 1000kv-1300kv leopard motor and a toro 8s esc. What Mod and size pinion gear do i need for the stock spur gear?

Pther than that I could putthe 7075 mount on with a new esc and motor and be ready to go, other than drivetrain upgrades, right?

Looks good. don't get that chassis brace. It's an extra upgrade. You get an aluminum brace with the motor mount. I will measure my motor to see if that one fits. I think that is the original motor I wanted to buy when the one I got was behind the counter.
As a suggestion. Look into the bajahb wheel adaptors. It will allow you to run any baja5b wheel and therefore any tire that fits. The redcat hubs are only found on redcat's...nothing else on the market firs those hubs. It also widens the wheel base

This is what I meant when I said I had to move the motor mount back 4mm. See the caliper measurement.
