Was curious on how hard would it be to switch over to 7.4v lipo. Obviously i no you need the servos but is there anything else required besides the battery

You have to change the superbee killswitch low voltage cutoff to lipo mode. Use a radio system which rx can handle 7.4v and both servos as you said. Change the plug end on your stock switch bam you are golden

Hey what battery did you get for direct fit an what comnector do i need also how many hours do you get out of the battery before it needs recharging
That is the little lipo there. It lasts a very long time. I recharge it every 4 tanks of gas if it needs it or not. Bought it from tower hobbies for under $ 40. I took the plastic end off the stock switch exposing the metal terminals and installed a jr plastic end right over the metal wire ends. No cutting or soldering. Works great.

With the redcat aftermarket kill switch do you need to change to lipo mode as well? How do you do that? Tks.

The extra 1.5 volt will burn up the servos?
A fully charged 2s lipo is 8.4v so I would assume you would burn up non-high voltage electronics like the servos and receiver using it. It is well worth the investment of a good radio system and servos anyways. Why not use a higher voltage receiver pack to get faster and stronger servos. Futaba receivers are lipo capable, so it is plug and play with the servos

Can't compare nominal voltage to charged voltage.
Charged nicad is 1.45 per cell and it's a five cell that's 7.25 on a charged 6 volt nicad.
Charged lipo is 4.2 per cell and a 2 cell would be 8.4.
It would only be 1.2 volts more.

I've looked into it. Most receivers can't handle lipo power. I contacted Flysky directly and the did not recommend lipo. The extra volt makes a difference. My rx usually runs at 8 volts. It starts out at 8.4v within a tank it's at 7.9-8 volts. Something this big and heavy I wouldn't take the chance of putting lipo power to a servo or receiver that isn't capable. I have had numerous runaways without doing that to myself. Just My opinion..

For what it is worth. The xte 5th scale runs the same steering servo as all rampages do by what it says. Xte runs 6s. I'm thinking it runs of of 2 s of the balance plug just a guess tho. Their parts show that reciver has voltage window or 4 to 6.5 volts. So I'm kinda lost. 1s would be to close to min voltage but 2 s would be over. Please don't take this as a fight. Trying to make sense of it. But so far it looks like the steering servo should be safe.

Most electrics have an internal BEC reducing the power to the servos to 6v

How do they get away with running the same recivers?
